The Good, the Great, and the Meh.

If I ever had whiskey or bourbon, I mixed that with soda or something. Never crossed my mind to sit there and sip whiskey. I've taken shots of whiskey before, and that was the only way I was going to drink it. I'm a beer drinker, I like beer. I do my best to stay clear of liquors, just not my thing. 

Then came honey whiskey, I put off getting a bottle of it for quite some time. I did not want to get a big bottle of it, hate it, and not be able to mix it with anything. Finally over the summer I saw a small bottle of Wild Turkey American Honey, so I bought it. 

The Good

I just got the Evan Williams Honey. This is pretty good, not a harsh burn, and has a great honey taste. Bonus, it was cheap.

The Great

Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey, bad ass. Barely any burn, great honey taste. I tore through this bottle, I loved it. This is the preferred honey whiskey.

The Meh

Wild Turkey American Honey. This was the first one I tried, great smell, great initial taste, but the burn was too much for me. Really turned me off from buying this again.

I found the best way to enjoy these was on the rocks. I highly recommend giving at least one of these a try. Maybe not the Wild Turkey, but you may like that.

Greatest Led Zeppelin Live Song

"Wow! That's a great question. Tough one, though I mean, what does one gauge his response on? Physical prowess? Keen detection skills? The ability to banter well with super villians?"












Real tough question here, because I'm just picking just one song out of from one performance. Plus the fact that I haven't even listened to all the live Led Zeppelin songs that I have, but I went with Whole Lotta Love from How the West Was Won. Great Song, plus all the songs in medley are awesome. I feel this song really just sums up the live experience you'll get from Zeppelin.

Greatest Led Zeppelin Studio Song

Ten Years Gone. Boom.

A few months ago at this point I started listening to the entire catalogs of some of my favorite bands. Recently I finished the Zeppelin studio catalog and this is my favorite. Since it's my blog, that means 10 Years Gone is the greatest Led Zeppelin Studio song, with Fool in the Rain an extremely close 2nd. Now live on the other hand, I'll get back to you on that one next week. I'm just now going through those recordings.

Greatest Christmas Movie of All-Time

That's right Scrooged. The 1988 Bill Murray classic. It's the best Christmas movie of all-time, screw you A Christmas Story. That's a good movie and what not, but Scrooged takes the cake. I mean it's got Bill Murray in his prime, PLUS Buster Poindexter is in it. 

You just can't go wrong with those two.
