Weekly Weight Loss Update is going on hiatus

Last Week: 192.4

This Week: 192.0

I need a break from this, as I said last week, I have been hovering at this weight for damn near a year. Up a little, then down a little, then up a little again. I need a break from tracking myself, and a fresh start on my workouts too. 

When I started tracking myself again back on August 19, 2009 I weighed in at 202.7, the highest I got was 210.4 in January 2010, the lowest was 188.8 in December 2010. For the most part I've been about 192, which is a fine weight for my build, I just want to go lower, but I need to change some things up and this is one of them. 

I am not saying this won't be back at some point, but for right now I'm going to put this on hold. That goes for tracking my weight in my little book too.

I like to think I had a hand in this

I cannot remember where it was that I first saw that Turkey Hill had Fruit Punch again, but I was extremely excited by this. You see, this one of my favorite Turkey Hill drinks until they took it off the market sometime in the mid-90s and tried to replace it with calypso cooler, some really crappy drink that did not even compare to the fruit punch. After they took away my favorite drink, I was forced to drink Orange Tea Cooler for several years, force because OTC was frickin' awesome.

Well guess what? The fruit punch is back and it tastes just like it did so many years ago. 

I like to think that I planted that seed in someones head when I worked at the dairy 10 years ago and it finally came to life now. I remember asking why they stopped making the fruit punch, but no one had an answer since they probably didn't even work there when they made it anyhow. I'm just happy it's back, so I can enjoy a glass of it every now again...

...with some rum.

Weekly Weight Loss Update

So I looked at my weight loss record book. I've been around this same weight for the past year. Hovering in the lower 190s, not really moving down and thankfully not up. I know I'm maintaining and I'm fine with that, but I would like to lose another 10 pounds, personal goal and all. Guess I need to re-evaluate my workout routine and  start working more fruits and veggies back into my diet. I really have not been keeping up with the veggies, and that's all on me just buying them at the store. I will.

Yay Beer: Magic Hat Summer Scene Review

I was not going to let this variety pack slip away from me like I did the Winter pack. With going to BrewFest last weekend, I knew I could not just have Miller Lite waiting for me when I got home. So I picked up the Magic Hat Summer Scene variety pack.

Wacko

Not bad. I was expecting a little more flavor out of this beer that just was not there. Feeling this could have had a deeper taste or something, not really sure just could not place what was missing from it. 

Rating: Six Pack Worthy

Single Chair

I believe this was is a Golden Beer, and all I think of with golden beer is Coors, with their extra gold. Again, felt this was fairly tasteless. Not what I was expecting out of Magic Hat. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying it was terrible, just falling below expectations. 

Rating: Grab one if it's in the cooler at a Party

IPA on Tour - Blind Faith

This was one of the mildest tasting IPAs I think I've ever had, and that's a plus. If you have read any of my reviews or just know me. You'll know that IPAs do not have a place with me, they're ok at best. Do not think I have ever been excited to grab a hold of one. The Blind Faith was one IPA that I can deal with in the variety pack, but let's check the rating before getting too excited. 

Rating: Accept one only if it's bought for me

Good Ol' #9

It's in every variety pack, although this one tasted better than most I've had. Maybe that's all in my head because I bought the case well before the freshness date expired. It was the last one for tasting, and totally worth it. Seriously, when will Magic Hat come and install a tap system in my house with #9??

Rating: Case Worthy

Recently got a new laptop, did not think I was going to have any issues getting connected to the internet. Boy was I wrong, apparently the modem that I purchased a little over a year ago does not like Windows 7 for some reason and would not let me connect to the entire internet. I tried everything for about a week that I could think of or find on the web. Nothing worked, so I took back my modem I had gotten from D&E Jazzd (now Windstream) and got a new one and hooked up my old router. Everything is fine now....

Wait, no it's not the stupid HP Printer that I have won't hook up for some reason. Not really sure what the issue is there, but it's real annoying. Stupid technology.

Wasn't really sure what to expect this week. I did a whole hell of a lot more activity this past week, but I also wasn't really being good with my eating. Because I'm not really caring, again, but my eating really isn't that bad, just need to get rid of the candy that is in the house. Not sure if I'll ever get to my goal if I continue this trend. Just me being lazy with this.

Some Commercials are just dumb - PlatformBreathe.org

I've been sitting on this one for a while, because for the life of me I could not think of the maker of said commercial. It's really just pointless and well wrong in my mind, and no way am I posting said commercial here.

According to their site, it's a PSA (public service announcement) for supporting clean energy, check out the commercials here.

I mean, it's some little girl running around in her bathing suit talking about clean energy. It looks like a home video, and that's all it should be. Somebody's home video, because I don't want to see that. You can use different imagery for that commercial to get the point across.

I don't know, I feel the commercial is just wrong and I hate when it comes on.
