So during the weekend, I knew I needed some gas for the new work week. I was getting low. Now gas was $3.41 on Friday at the local fueling station. When I drove past on Saturday, it was $3.59.
How and the hell does it go up 18 cents in one day??
Oh, Hurricane Ike shut down oil refineries off of the Gulf Coast. hmmmmm....I don't live anywhere near that area so why would that affect me so much??
Because someone wants lots of money and realized they can gouge me and no one will really care.
I saw/read/heard on the news that the production that was shut down was 25%. 25%?? Wait, you mean not all the oil is refined in the Gulf Coast area? So why the price jump when 75% is still being refined. I don't know about you but...
75% > 25%
I hate the oil companies.

Dude, when I started driving, I could get gas for I shit you not, $.89 cents at the gas station across from my High School. Oh how far we've come. It's times like these I'm glad I live in New York.
Ah. the good ol'days.
89 cents to 99 cents from High School through College.
$20 use to fill my gas tank and get me two packs of smokes in college.
Good thing I stopped smoking. Because that would cost me a $100 to do.
